Diesel:
The diesel engine was patented by Rudolf Diesel, from which he takes his name, and uses a different method for igniting fuel: compression. This type of engine is powered by diesel, which enters the combustion chamber of the engine and is ignited by the high temperature of the gas compressed by the piston. Diesel and diesel are often used interchangeably.
Diesel Oil:
Produced by fractional distillation of petroleum, diesel fuel is the typical fuel of diesel engines and is also used to power heaters.
Excise duties:
Excise duties are taxes on the cost of gasoline and other fuels, calculated on the amount of fuel purchased. Excise duties on gasoline have been approved over the years to meet the needs caused by natural disasters or to implement environmentally sustainable measures to deal with fuel pollution.Excise duties are added to the cost of the fuel itself and VAT to form the final price of the fuel.

Extra-network

the sale of extra-network fuels is the direct fuels sales circuit outside the network of roadside distributors, for example: fuels for ships, fuels such as methane and diesel for the heating systems of condominiums, marine and agricultural diesel. Q8 offers the out-of-network sales service through the Q8 Quaser circuit, available throughout Italy.

Engine Oil:

Engine oil lubricates the engine components to ensure their correct and long-lasting function.Using the right engine oil and checking its level regularly is very important to extend the life of the engine and preserve its functions.

Fuel card:

Normally connected to a portfolio management app, it works like a debit card and allows you to receive offers and benefits related to your business. With Q8, you can choose  CartissimaQ8, which is connected to the CartissimaQ8 App, and RecardQ8, w hich is a rechargeable card for your company supplies.

Fuel filter:

The fuel filter protects the engine from possible impurities contained in the fuel before it reaches the engine.

 Fuel injectors:

An injector is a small cylinder that transfers a certain amount of gasoline regulated by an ECU from the tank to the engine cylinder. Gasoline injectors are equipped with filters to purify the fuel from possible impurities.

Gasoline:

Gasoline is one of the most popular fuels and solvents for powering motor vehicles and is obtained by distillation of crude oil, i.e., without having undergone any treatment. Caution must be exercised in the vicinity of gasoline, which is a highly flammable liquid. Fuel card: a fuel purchase card that makes it easier to refuel company vehicles.

Leaded gasoline:

This type of fuel was also called “red gasoline” because it wascolored with red pigments to distinguish it from the unleaded variant with added tetraethyl lead. For approximately 20 years, the spread of leaded fuels has not been common.

LPG:

LPG is a mixture of low molecular weight alkane hydrocarbons. Commonly, propane and butane are mixed and liquefied by compression. Ethanethiol, with its characteristic acrid smell, is often added to liquefied petroleum gasses (LPG) to distinguish it and avoid imperceptible leaks. To refuel your vehicle with LPG, find the LPG distributor closest to you.

Methane:

A simple hydrocarbon, which is a chemical compound formed by carbon and hydrogen, available in nature as a gas. Methane is a gas that is easy to burn and is used for power generation, car fuel, and cooking food. To refuel your CNG vehicle, find the CNG station closest to you.

Octane:

Octane is a hydrocarbon of the methane series.Through the octane number contained in a fuel, its ability to withstand compression without detonation, i.e., its anti-knock power, is evaluated.A higher octane rating is for a low knocking power, such as the Q8 Hi Perform 100 octane fuels  available at 100 octane dispensers.

Petrol pumps:

A petrol station refers to a complete set of elements that are useful for the supply of fuel to people and goods. In jargon, stations are called petrol pumps and are placed in petrol stations with assisted or self-service refuelling services.

Petrol stations:

Petrol stations are facilities set up for services for cars such as refueling. Other services such as a car wash, mechanic, or shop are also available at some petrol stations, such as the Svolta Stores at  Q8 stations. You can consult the map of Q8 petrol stations to  find the petrol station closest to you.

Self-service:

A self-service or self-service refueling is a refueling carried out independently, without the assistance of the petrol station staff. A petrol station is labelled as self-service when there are no service personnel present and self-refuelling is carried out 24/7, as in Q8easy stations. It is also possible to refuel in a self-service mode at Q8 petrol stations where there is a staff, both during the opening hours and during the closing hours. Find Q8 stores and Q8easy distributors closest to you for self-refueling.

Served:

Served refueling is carried out when the employees of the selected refueling area take care of all the refueling phases.

Superfuels:

Superfuels are car fuels with an octane percentage above 98. At Q8 petrol stations, you can find Q8 Hi Perform fuels with an octane percentage of 100.

Tyre:

elastic circular coating inflated with air-often in an inner tube-which covers the wheel and allows the vehicle to grip the road or, more generally, the ground.

Unleaded gasoline:

Among the most popular types of fuels, unleaded gasoline has become the norm since 2000, when leaded gasoline was banned. Also called green gasoline because it was colored through specific pigments to distinguish it from red gasoline, today unleaded gasoline is no longer modified in color.
