Safety Behind the Wheel Starts with the Quality of Your Sleep
Let’s Open Our Eyes to Sleep Disorders
In Italy, 80% of accidents are attributed to human error, with a significant portion due to excessive drowsiness. This is a critical factor that can't be overlooked. Today, Q8 and Assirem—Italian Association for Research and Education in Sleep Medicine—are launching the campaign "Dormire bene per guidare meglio" ("Sleep Well to Drive Better"). This project aims to raise awareness through various initiatives and informational tools, which will be available both on this website and at Q8 service stations.

22% of road accidents in Italy are caused by falling asleep at the wheel.*

Sleeping less than 5 hours a night increases the likelihood of having a road accident by 4.5 times.**

The risk of road accidents is up to 7 times higher for 27% of the adult population affected by the most common sleep-related respiratory disorder, called OSAS (Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome).***
