MOTIVATIONAL GUIDANCE
xmark

THE INITIATIVE

To motivate and guide the students of the IIS De Amicis-Cattaneo High School in Rome through a dialogue on self-awareness and future perspectives. This is the goal of the corporate volunteering initiative that Q8 has implemented in partnership with United Way España. Experts from various fields met with three classes to share their educational, life, and professional stories.

Q8'S ROLE

This initiative provided an important moment of inspiration for the young students, allowing them to engage with experts from various sectors at a pivotal time in their lives when they begin to confront opportunities and make significant choices for the future. The fruitful and stimulating experience also proved to be a personal enrichment opportunity for the Q8 volunteers who participated, creating social value for the community.

YOUNG PROGRAMMERS GROWING

THE INITIATIVE

Q8 is committed to those seeking a path for their future. This was demonstrated by participating in the STEM project for primary schools, realized in partnership with United Way España, aimed at guiding elementary school children in discovering scientific subjects.

Q8'S ROLE

Q8 participated in a training session led by experts from Digital Education Lab, which concluded with a workshop dedicated to three 5th-grade classes in the Quartaccio area of Rome. For this occasion, volunteers visited the school to spend an afternoon with the children and collaboratively program a video game.

YOUNG O’NEST

THE INITIATIVE

Q8 has always believed in people and their talents. This is why it has decided to support the workshops of the #GiovaniO’Nest theater project, dedicated to young people who want to engage with the seventh art. The theater group, established in 2016, is composed of individuals under 25 from the local area and the eastern outskirts of Naples.

THE NEST THEATER

It is located in the heart of San Giovanni a Teduccio, a neighborhood in the eastern area of Naples, and was once the gymnasium of a school that had been abandoned for years. In 2006, it became Nest, Napoli Est Teatro, a fully-fledged theater, equipped with 99 seats, a stage measuring 9x10 meters, a foyer, and dressing rooms for the artists. Currently, the Nest hosts theatrical performances, cultural and musical events, photo shoots, courses, presentations, screenings, rehearsals, setups, and exhibitions.

THE INITIATIVE

Q8 supports "GEA EDU - Ideas for the Future," a project promoted by the Art.49 Foundation and sponsored by MASE and ENEA, which offers free educational programs to Italian schools with lectures conducted by qualified teachers during regular school hours. The initiative aims to promote a culture of participation and to make students aware and active participants in the ecological transition, imparting skills and useful information aimed at adopting good practices in daily life for greater education on sustainability and sustainable development.

Q8'S ROLE

Q8 has contributed to expanding the number of beneficiaries of the initiative and to creating educational content through video interviews on the topics of hydrogen and energy transition. This commitment is directed not only towards students but also towards teachers and families, promoting the adoption of sustainable behaviors for the environment in everyday life.
