100% renewable electricity from certified sources, approximately 9% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions compared to the previous year, €15 billion in revenue and €6 billion in excise duties paid, 47 new hires under the age of 30, and a social return exceeding three times the initial investment.

Rome, July 30th 2026 – Q8 has published its new Sustainability Report for the fiscal year from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. The Report provides a comprehensive overview of a year marked by projects and investments, reflecting the principles of transparency and accountability that guide the Company's operations every day. Certified by an independent auditor under the “in accordance” approach, the Report has been prepared on a voluntary basis in compliance with the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards issued by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Oil & Gas Sector Standard.

The Report offers a snapshot of Q8’s contribution to ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) goals through a just and inclusive energy transition, investments in innovation, the development of people, and the promotion of growth across local communities and territories.

ENVIRONMENTAL

As further evidence of its strong commitment to the energy transition, at the beginning of 2026 Q8 announced the construction of a new biorefinery in Sicily, developed through a joint venture with Eni and representing one of the most significant industrial investments in Italy’s energy sector. Scheduled for completion in 2028, the facility will employ innovative technologies to produce advanced biofuels from waste, residues, and vegetable oils. These fuels can also be used in their pure form and are expected to reduce emissions by up to 65% compared with conventional fossil fuels. As part of its ongoing commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its operations, Q8 continued its positive trend in lowering both direct and indirect emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2), achieving a further reduction of approximately 9% compared to the previous fiscal year. For another year, 100% of the electricity used at Q8’s headquarters, depots, and directly operated service stations was sourced from certified renewable energy. This commitment is part of a broader transformation of the Company’s retail network into a sustainable, multi-energy mobility platform. Alongside traditional and premium fuels, Q8 offers alternative solutions such as Q8 HVO and electric vehicle charging. The network now includes 309 charging points across 249 service stations, delivering more than 3.7 million kWh of electricity through over 135,000 charging sessions during the year. Q8 also continued expanding renewable energy generation. The photovoltaic installation at the Naples Hub, together with 359 photovoltaic systems installed across the retail network, generated and fed a total of 15,298 GJ of electricity into the grid, representing an increase of over then 70% compared to the previous year.

SOCIAL

People have always been at the heart of Q8’s strategy and a key driver of the Company’s growth. During the year, Q8 hired 47 new employees under the age of 30, reaffirming its commitment to building the skills and capabilities needed to address future challenges. Investing in people begins with integration: through its New Joiners Program, Q8 supports new hires with a dedicated onboarding path and the guidance of a Buddy, a workplace mentor who facilitates integration during the first months with the Company. Q8 also confirmed its strong focus on learning, well-being, and employee care through its People Care Strategy and Total Wellbeing Program. In addition to its established learning initiatives, the Company delivered more than 5,132 training hours dedicated specifically to health and safety topics. Its commitment to inclusion, equal opportunities, and diversity continues to be recognized through certifications issued by independent organizations, including the Gender Equality Certification, ASSE.CO., and the Top Employer Certification, which Q8 has received for the sixth consecutive year in recognition of excellence in HR policies and practices. Creating value beyond business remains an integral part of Q8’s operating model. Through support for numerous social initiatives and the active involvement of employees in corporate volunteering projects, the Company continued investing in the communities and territories where it operates, generating a positive, widespread, and lasting social impact. An independent assessment carried out using the SROI (Social Return on Investment) methodology found that every euro invested in the Company’s social initiatives generated €3.26 in social value, more than three times the original investment, entirely benefiting communities and local territories.

GOVERNANCE

In line with the principles of ethics, transparency, and accountability that guide its operations, Q8 continued strengthening its governance and compliance framework, further consolidating policies, procedures, and guidelines designed to support regulatory compliance, risk management, and the achievement of corporate objectives. Continuous dialogue with stakeholders remains a strategic priority for building trust and creating long-term value. Among the initiatives reflecting this commitment is the Cooperative Compliance Agreement with the Italian Tax Agency, a recognition of the Company’s commitment to the proper application of tax regulations. At the same time, in a context where digitalization has become a key driver of competitiveness, Q8 continues to invest in technological innovation and cybersecurity as strategic enablers of system protection and resilience. In line with this vision, the Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Italian Postal and Communications Police (Polizia Postale) to strengthen cybercrime prevention and response activities through a collaborative public-private partnership model based on information sharing and operational cooperation, aimed at protecting an infrastructure recognized as being of strategic national interest. During the year, Q8 generated approximately €15 billion in revenue and paid around €6 billion in excise duties, confirming its significant contribution to the national economy.

“In a global environment marked by growing complexity and uncertainty, Q8 continues to pursue a clear vision: ensuring energy security through reliable and competitive supplies, while promoting innovation and sustainability to generate long-term value for the country, communities, and people,” said Naser Ben Butain, Chief Executive Officer of Q8 Italia. “We believe in a pragmatic, inclusive, and technology-neutral energy transition that leverages the contribution of all effective decarbonization solutions. Our goal is to guide change responsibly, combining growth, sustainability, and energy security while leaving no one behind.”
