LNG Auto, aperto a Filago (BG) nuovo impianto Q8

Rome, April 23, 2021 – The completely redesigned Q8 facility in Filago has now opened for business with a comprehensive multi-product commercial offering that includes traditional and high-performance gasoline and diesel, as well as liquefied natural gas (LNG), compressed natural gas (CNG), and electric vehicle charging stations.

The strategic location, near the Capriate San Gervasio (BG) exit on the A4 MIVE motorway, makes the facility easily accessible to a broad range of customers, particularly those involved in heavy transport where LNG is increasingly being adopted.

The service station is designed to meet a variety of mobility needs, in line with market trends that are moving towards low environmental impact products, and fully consistent with company policies that place sustainability at the core of the business strategy. This sustainability approach is reflected not only in the diverse range of alternative fuel offerings but also in the use of specific construction techniques inspired by the principles of the circular economy, the use of renewable energy, and energy efficiency solutions that collectively contribute to high environmental performance and reduced CO2 emissions.

One example is the building on the site, which was constructed using green building methods—a cutting-edge construction technique with low environmental impact, ensuring optimal energy performance while allowing for the total recyclability of materials.

Furthermore, the service station is equipped with a photovoltaic system for self-consumption and LED lighting that reduces energy consumption by 70%.

Additionally, Filago offers a filtration system placed upstream of the dispensers to ensure the high quality of fuel dispensed for fleets and heavy transport vehicles using diesel. It also features a dedicated dispenser for AD Blue, an additive that helps reduce nitrogen oxide emissions.

“This investment demonstrates Q8's strategy to ensure the availability of all products required for current and future mobility needs across its distribution network, in line with energy transition goals,” said Alessandro Lietti, Director of Business Development at Q8. “The Filago station is also part of the more than 30 service stations included in the Q8 project co-funded by the European Commission, 'Cre8 - Creating the Station of the Future,' aimed at enhancing the offering of methane and EV chargers, and which will soon see the construction of two additional LNG stations in Rivalta Scrivia and Orte.”
