Rome, July 1, 2024 – The Board of Directors of Kuwait Petroleum Italia S.p.A. (Q8 Italy) has appointed Fadel Al Faraj, Executive Vice President of Marketing at Kuwait Petroleum International, as its new Chairman, effective today.

At the same time, Bashar Al Awadhi takes on the role of CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Italia. Al Awadhi, who holds a degree in engineering and a master's degree in business administration, has 25 years of extensive and diversified experience in the sector, having held senior positions at the international level. Until now, he has served as CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Espana and was also the General Manager in Italy for four years, during which he acquired an in-depth understanding of the Italian market.

Following today’s resolutions, which will be submitted to the next shareholders' meeting, the Board of Directors of Q8 Italy is currently composed of: Fadel Al Faraj (Chairman), Bashar Al Awadhi (CEO), Raffaele Iollo, Naser Ben Butain, Francesca Fracassi, and Ayman Al Qattan.
